Is it possible to determine someones emotion from their gait?

Saker is a project to try and detect when a person is scared by analysing their gait, using the sensors available on your smartphone. The study investigates how a person’s gait changes as they walk, and attempts to identify patterns that characterize when an individual is scared or apprehensive. Saker allows you to share fitness data with researchers.

The Saker app uses sensor data from your phone and questionnaires to measure your gait and analyse whether you feel safe.

Key Features:
● Innovative data collection that measures sensor data while providing you with useful statistics
● Share labelled activity data with researchers
● Import daily physical activity measurement

Eligibility:
To join this study you need to:
• Be 18 or older
• Be an E.U. resident
• Have a personal iPhone.

This app will read and/or write data from Apples Health App with your permission.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Note: After you join the study, we will send you a copy of the consent form to your email address. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive it.
